The Lions of Louisiana are proud to welcome Past International President Lions Bill Biggs and his wife Dana to MD-8


William L. "Bill" Biggs of Omaha, Nebraska, USA, was elected president of the International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 73rd International Convention, held in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, July 11-14, 199  Past President Biggs is an attorney in private practice, with the firm of Biggs & Stoehr in Omaha, Nebraska.A Lion since 1962, a member and president of the Omaha Eye Opener Lions Club, Past President Biggs served as an international director in 1983-1985, and as an appointee to the International Board from 1985 to 1989.

Among the awards Past President Biggs has received for his service to the association are an Extension Award, 12 International President's Awards and the Ambassador of Good Will Award. He is a 10 diamond progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, a Life Member and a Key Member

Past President Biggs has five children and four grandchildren.

  • Convention Registration at the Residence Inn 3-5 pm
  • Hospitality Rooms open 6-9 pm.  Each district will host thier own

  • Registration resumes at 8 am, voting registration begins at 8 am also
  • Program begins at 9 am
  • Luncheon speaker - Moon Griffon, Radio Personality
  • PIP Bill Biggs will do a class after lunch
  • Banquet begins at 7 pm

Sunday April 27

  • Voting Begins at 7 am
  • Breakfast speaker is Shellie Tomlinson, humorist and radio personality
